Christmas is my favourite time of year to play with colour!! Who says you have to stick with traditional Red and Green?!?! I love to play with a new colour palette every year!

My house is currently all black, grey and white. I can’t commit to colour schemes in my home because I get bored of them so quickly!!! I’m totally guilty of painting my at least 7 times in the last 7 years! One peek on Pinterest, and it’s all over.

Christmas is the PERFECT time of year to decorate and enjoy that trendy colour scheme without committing to a full room makeover!!

My decorating ADD was the inspiration for this giveaway!! I love hearing the Christmas colour palettes people work with every year! Here are a few of my favourite Christmas decor pictures I’ve come acrosss recently.

Holiday Wreath – Oceana, Angora, Burnt Sienna

Teal, Copper, Gold & White!! OMG I’m inlove. I am swooning over this popular teal trend that isn’t going anywhere. I’ve been dying to paint my bedroom feature wall in this stunning masculine, deep blue-green, but again, I know another colour trend will catch my eye and I’ll want to repaint in no time!!! So, adding this teal colour to my Christmas colour palette is a MUST.

We recently added Oceana to our House&Canvas Furniture Paint line up. I’m thinking about using it to paint and repurpose some old Christmas tree ball ornaments but i’m still debating whether to go for an ultra-matte chalk or a super glossy finish. Can you imagine pairing newly painted Oceana ornaments with this faux fur tree skirt I found on Amazon!?!? So Glam!

Here’s a prime example of my decorating ADD… after falling inlove with a bold, glam colour palette using Oceana, copper and white, I found this stunning wreath on Pinterest using soft, calm, pastel colours.

Whimsical Christmas Wreath – Angora, Dusty Rose, Mountain Moss

I wonder if there’s a chnace my husband will let me go full-on pink for Christmas!?! There is something so beautiful about pairing winter white with natural greens and adding some blushing pink. It’s feminine (with out being over-the-top girly), and classy. You can get a splash of glam by adding some white or silver glitter. Am I crazy for thinking about getting a white tree?!?! Maybe I can get away with just a small 4′ one like this from Amazon!

At the end of the day, nothing can beat the good ol’ traditional buffalo check pattern at Christmas time. It can easily make any home cozy and welcoming for the holidays. I’ve always been a fan of buffalo check paired with burlap, and it’s making a huge come back this year. Designers every where are using it to decorate rustic, farmhouse style homes, and even adding it to more modern spaces to add some traditional warmth. And the best part about buffalo check, you can leave most pieces all year round!!!
