I am SO excited to be a part of this year’s Upcycle Challenge at the Toronto Fall Home Show presented by Habitat for Humanity.
Each year, the Toronto Home Show invites decor and DIY experts to participate in the challenge to support Habitat For Humanity. All entries are displayed at the Home Show and the winner is selected by an online voting contest. The completed project will then be on sale at the show with proceeds directly supporting Habitat for Humanity GTA.
This years challenge theme is “Entryway Envy” and entries will be on display at the 2018 Toronto Fall Home Show between Sept.28-30 at the Enercare Centre in Exhibition Place.
Last week I hit the Etobicoke ReStore in search of the perfect piece to use in this challenge. I love the Etobicoke location because it has an outdoor section that houses tons of goodies to get your DIY brain rockin’. They had a ton of windows and doors that I was drooling over. But I stayed focused and headed inside to see what treasures I could find.
Right away I found the most incredible, PERFECT entry piece that is in seriously rough shape, but I plan on making it amazing again. The furniture gods were definitely watching out for me!
I’m so excited to get started. Stay tuned for lots more updates on this challenge and sneak peeks at my piece!!
