How To Create A Pom Pom Shoe Clip In Three Simple Steps!

Pom poms are every where right now… From purses to key chains to shoes to my daughters headband!!

They’re are all over designer shoes by Louboutin, Louis Vuitton and Uggs… many with price tags over $600!

Since I literally get paint all over everything I own – there is no way I am forking out that cash for some fluff balls on my shoes. So naturally, I decided to DIY my own!

Here is a step by step guide on how to make your own fluff ball pom pom shoe clips!

Materials

  • Shoes
  • Pom Poms
  • Glue Gun
  • Shoe Clips
  • Scissors

The pom poms I got were from Michales and were actually part of a hair elastic – so I had to do a bit of extra prep work.  The other pom pom’s I found were huge, but these ones were perfect.  See Step 1 for how I prepped them!

Shoe Clips can be found at any major craft store, but I got mine on Amazon here

How To Make A Pom Pom Shoe Clip:

1) Prep The Pom Poms!

These hair elastic pom poms were the perfect size and were 50% off at Michaels, so I got them for just $3 bucks.  I cut off the elastic so you cant even tell they were originally for hair ties!

2) Glue Your Pom Pom To The Shoe Clip.

You just need a dime size dollop of hot glue for the pom pom to stick to the shoe clip.  Let it completely dry.

3) Attach Your Shoe Clip To Your Shoes!

The shoe clips just snap on your shoes.  They stay put, they don’t damage your shoe, and they are removable, so you can put them on whatever shoe you like!!

You can try this with cute bows, iron-on patches, jewels and buckles.  Be creative and see what you can find!
