Throwback Thursday – Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Union Jack Table!
Throwback Thursday goes to this beauty I did a few summers back. Took me forever, but was worth it! I use 4 different Annie Sloan Chalk Paint colors to transform this beautiful piece.
Annie Sloan Paint Colors Used
I only used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and wax on this particular piece. The colors are all found on the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Color swatch. I’m not sure how much exactly I used since I already had quarts of the colors before hand. If you are a DIY kinda person you might already have one of these colors at home: Graphite, Old White, Emperors Silk and Napoleonic Blue.
DIY Union Jack Details
The Union Jack is one of the most common projects people undertake at some point in their DIY career. There are unique challenges to the Union Jack – if you look at an official picture you will notice its not an even symmetrical flag – its not quite the cross on the X that it seems to be – the lines are angled differently in each of the four parts of the cross. The application of the Annie Sloan Chalk paint was no different than any other project I’ve done – but the taping and freehand work was extensive.
